Leading With Heart, Strategy, and a Passport Ready

Some leaders inspire through big speeches. Others inspire through consistency, connection, and the ability to jump into the trenches alongside their team. Cassie Schulz does all three, while somehow also finding time to travel across the world to see Taylor Swift perform live.

As an SBU Regional Director at Audigy, Cassie brings energy, intentionality, and a people-first mindset to every interaction. Whether she’s helping members develop strategy, brainstorming creative ways to make work more fun, or supporting her team’s personal, professional, and financial goals (PPFs), Cassie leads with the belief that success is built through relationships.

“I truly believe that together we can accomplish PPFs and have fun while doing it!” Cassie says.

That mindset has become a defining part of her leadership style and one of the reasons teammates and members alike enjoy working with her.

Growing Through Opportunity

Cassie joined Audigy in April 2018 as an Operations Manager. Since then she’s grown through the Senior Manager program and into her current role as SBU Regional Director, supporting multiple territories and countless members along the way.

Her journey through Audigy reflects one of the things she appreciates most about the company: its support in offering opportunities to continuously grow both personally and professionally.

“Over the last eight years, I’ve been able to do and achieve some very large goals of mine,” she shares.

That support has helped shape Cassie into the leader she is today, someone who values collaboration, encourages development, and genuinely wants the people around her to succeed.

“I’ve worked alongside amazing peers whom I’ve had the opportunity to learn so much from, and Audigy has provided so many opportunities to develop both in business strategy and in leadership,” she says. “I couldn’t be more thankful.”

Coworkers say that attitude naturally extends into the way she leads others every day.

“Cassie is someone I can always count on and turn to for guidance. She leads with talent, humility, and a strong team-focused mindset that inspires those around her.”

A Day in the Life

Ask Cassie what a typical workday looks like and the answer is simple: There really isn’t one.

“Each day is significantly different in my role, and I love that,” she explains.

One day may involve strategy meetings with members. The next could include coaching teammates, helping build new processes, facilitating collaboration between departments, or developing tools and resources that support member success.

At the core of it all is her passion for helping people achieve their goals.

“Honestly, everything we do is to support our members in reaching their PPFs,” Cassie says. “Since joining eight years ago, I’ve continuously been impressed and proud of how much thought, care, intentionality, and strategy goes into helping our members achieve whatever goal they have.”

For Cassie leadership is about far more than operations or outcomes. It’s about understanding what matters most to people and helping them create a path toward it.

“There is nothing better than knowing we are making an impact with all those we serve,” she shares. “It is a true pleasure and joy to see and help a member accomplish something they have been working toward.”

Over the years, she’s celebrated alongside members as they achieved life-changing milestones: building dream homes, taking bucket-list vacations, becoming parents and grandparents, retiring, and moving into ownership.

“Being a trusted advisor and someone who members trust to bring along for all of these life moments is honestly such an honor,” she says.

That steady encouragement hasn’t gone unnoticed internally, either.

“Even in challenging situations, Cassie leads with optimism, ensuring that those around her feel encouraged, capable, and motivated.”

Another teammate adds, “Her commitment to her team and our members is unwavering. She turns vision into action, ensuring that positive thinking translates into positive outcomes.”

Leading With Connection

One of the themes that comes up repeatedly when talking with Cassie is connection. Whether it’s members, teammates, or leadership peers, relationships are at the center of how she approaches her work.

“My goal in working with members is always to identify what their goals are and work tirelessly alongside them to reach those goals,” she explains. “I aim to be a person you can always count on and can easily pick up the phone to bounce an idea off of, share the wins, and of course work through the challenges with as well.”

That same care extends to the teams she leads internally.

“Being a trusted advisor to members is at the core of what we do, and just as important is being a trusted advisor to the team I get the opportunity to work with every day,” Cassie says.

She prioritizes regular goal conversations with team members, looks for opportunities that align with their growth, and enjoys helping people discover strengths they may not yet even realize they have.

“I love finding ways to bring team members in on opportunities that allow them to develop skills that align with their goals,” she says. “If they are hitting their PPFs, it is a big win and should be celebrated!”

Coworkers consistently point to her ability to uplift the people around her.

“Cassie’s resilience, encouragement, and determination ripple through our workplace and our membership, making her an exceptional role model and a true embodiment of what Audigy represents.”

Says another colleague, “She is the very definition of living a life ‘Beyond Positive Thinking.’”

A Culture of Fun and Innovation

While strategy and leadership are a major part of Cassie’s role, she’s also passionate about creating an environment where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

“At Audigy we also do a lot to make sure we keep things fun,” she says. “This can sometimes include decorating team offices, creating silly themes, competitions, videos to spur friendly fun, or singing and dancing at all-staff meetings to welcome new teammates.”

That balance between hard work and fun is one of the things she values most about Audigy’s culture.

“Everyone is truly welcomed and able to be themselves at work,” she says. “We love to have fun together, even in the difficult times.”

She also appreciates Audigy’s commitment to innovation and constantly finding new ways to better support members and communities.

“Audigy is constantly pushing the envelope and working to find new ways to improve and better serve those we support,” she explains. “It keeps us sharp and allows us to continue to develop ourselves as well.”

Her peers say her leadership creates an environment where others feel supported and empowered to grow.

Life Beyond Audigy

Outside of work, Cassie’s adventurous side comes to life. She loves spending time with family and friends, relaxing on beach vacations, traveling, and attending concerts whenever she can.

When it comes to travel, her first big journey was in college, when she studied abroad in Shanghai. However, one of her most memorable adventures? Traveling internationally to see Taylor Swift perform live in Germany after also attending a Seattle show.

She also recently took a Mediterranean cruise with her grandma, aunt, and uncle, which was an experience that perfectly reflects how important relationships and shared experiences are to her.

Whether she’s helping a member reach a major milestone, supporting a teammate through a challenge, or boarding a plane for her next adventure, Cassie approaches life with authenticity, energy, and heart.

For her, leadership isn’t about standing in the spotlight alone, it’s about helping others shine right alongside you.
