When Senior Business Analyst Matt Anderson talks about his work, he doesn’t start with valuations, demographics, or business planning. Instead, he starts with a simple idea:
“I help small businesses make use of tools and information that are typically reserved for larger businesses.”
It’s a philosophy that has guided Matt throughout his time at Audigy and one that continues to shape the way he supports members every day. Interestingly, Matt’s path to business analytics didn’t begin with business at all. “I started college as a biology major and still love plants and animals,” he says.
That curiosity about how things work has stayed with him throughout his career. In fact, during a trip to Paris, Matt found himself studying aquatic plants in the Seine while his wife wondered why he wasn’t paying attention to the famous Notre Dame Cathedral standing behind him.
Today that same curiosity fuels his work helping members understand their markets, evaluate opportunities, and make informed decisions about the future of their businesses.
Turning Data Into Action

Matt joined Audigy as a Business Analyst and has since grown into a senior role. While his title has changed, his mission has remained the same: helping members make confident decisions through reliable information.
Much of his day is spent working on valuations, demographic analyses, and Practice Maturity Platform projects. He also supports members through business acquisitions, sales, succession planning, financing opportunities, and retirement transitions.
For Matt, data isn’t just numbers on a spreadsheet. It’s a tool that helps practices create better outcomes for patients, teams, and communities. “A mantra I carried over from a previous job is ‘data over drama,’“ he explains. “If someone has a hunch about something, I look to find data that supports or contradicts it.” That approach helps members move beyond assumptions and make decisions grounded in facts.
Whether evaluating a potential acquisition, determining where growth opportunities exist, or planning for retirement, Matt works to provide the insights members need to move forward confidently.
Supporting Members at Every Stage

One of Matt’s favorite parts of his role is helping members think strategically about their future. Directly, that means helping members understand the value of their businesses, identify growth opportunities, and plan for long-term success. “We help members achieve their growth, retirement, and financial goals by doing valuations and showing how they can grow their business to meet those goals,” Matt says.
Those conversations often extend beyond finances. “This also includes discussing how they want to exit their business and what they want their legacy to be.” Matt and the Business Analytics team also help members understand the markets they serve by leveraging demographic and mapping tools to identify opportunities for expansion or uncover untapped potential within existing service areas.
If a member is considering purchasing another practice or evaluating a growth opportunity, Matt helps gather the information necessary to assess whether the investment makes sense. His goal is always the same: provide clear, actionable information that supports smart decision-making.
Staying Connected to the Mission

While much of Matt’s work happens behind the scenes, he especially values opportunities to work directly with members. Through Practice Maturity Platform projects and member consultations, he gets to see firsthand the impact of his work. “The direct member interactions help recenter me and remind me of the importance of my work,” he says.
Those experiences provide perspective and reinforce the connection between analytics and the real people who benefit from it. It’s one thing to analyze data; it’s another to see how that information helps a member achieve a personal goal, grow their practice, or create a stronger future for their team.
A Collaborative Environment

When asked what he enjoys most about working at Audigy, Matt doesn’t hesitate. “The people I work with, members and fellow Audigy employees.” He credits much of his success to the support of his colleagues, particularly fellow Business Analyst Kevin Rose and Vice President of Shared Service Operations Sam Haney.
“I work daily with Kevin Rose and I feel so fortunate to do so. My boss, Sam Haney, provides top-level support.” Matt also appreciates the collaborative culture across departments and the opportunity to contribute to projects outside of his immediate role. Throughout his time at Audigy, he’s supported initiatives related to business intelligence, billing, marketing, and other cross-functional efforts.
“It’s always fun to see how the other teams support our members.” That exposure has allowed him to continue learning, growing, and finding new ways to contribute.
Growing Alongside Audigy

Matt’s journey at Audigy has coincided with significant milestones in his personal life as well. “While working at Audigy I have gone from having no kids to having two.” Today he’s the proud father of a 2-year-old daughter and a 3-month-old son. He credits Audigy with providing meaningful support during those transitions, including parental-leave benefits and resources that helped make the shift into parenthood easier.
Professionally, he’s appreciated the trust and autonomy he’s been given to improve workflows, explore new tools, and continue developing his skills. “I have been able to reach some professional goals by continuing to advance in my career and learning how best to use new software.”
Life Outside the Office

When he’s not helping members analyze growth opportunities, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, fishing from his kayak, and working on automotive projects. One project in particular holds special meaning: a 1977 Chevrolet Blazer that belonged to his grandfather-in-law and currently sits in pieces in his garage awaiting restoration.
Like many of the projects he tackles at work, it’s a challenge that requires patience, problem-solving, and a willingness to see potential where others might see complexity. Whether he’s analyzing data, restoring a classic vehicle, or identifying aquatic plants on vacation, Matt brings the same sense of curiosity and commitment to everything he does. For Audigy members, that means having a trusted partner who is dedicated to helping them make informed decisions and build stronger futures.
