When you speak to Carl Cook, one thing becomes clear almost immediately: Everything starts with people. And for Carl, that begins with family.
As Audigy’s Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN) Business Partner, Carl supports health systems, hospitals, and universities with audiology programs across the country. However, his impact goes far beyond operations. He brings a deeply human approach to his work, one shaped by resilience, gratitude, and a commitment to helping others succeed, both professionally and personally.
Having joined Audigy in 2011, Carl has grown alongside the organization, building a career rooted in service, leadership, and connection. Today he’s known not only for his operational expertise but for the way he shows up for members, for teammates, and for the bigger mission Audigy represents.
His Role at Audigy

Carl’s role may sound technical on paper, but in practice it’s anything but.
“There is no such thing as a typical day,” he says with a laugh, and he means it.
Each day is shaped by the needs of the members he supports, whether that’s navigating operational challenges, offering strategic guidance, or simply listening. His work ebbs and flows with calls, messages, and ongoing collaboration, but the core remains constant: showing up for members in the way they need most.
Carl describes his role as equal parts strategist, problem solver, and trusted partner.
“I support our membership in multiple ways. Anything from helping them with their day-to-day operations, understanding the nuances of each of our members’ clinics and teams, and providing them with any and all recommendations that [Audigy] provides, as well as any industry insights and updates.”
What truly sets Carl apart is his willingness to go deeper.
“In addition to that, I kind of wear a counselor hat and listen to them discuss openly their areas of opportunity, the struggles and/or frustrations they have…. I provide them with everything that Audigy has to offer. There is never a day of boredom!”
His goal is simple: Listen, understand, and help members become better, more effective leaders so they can deliver exceptional care to their patients.
A Career Built on Purpose and Perspective

Carl’s path to Audigy wasn’t traditional.
Before entering the hearing industry, he worked in restaurant and retail environments. In fact, during his interview process, he openly admitted:
“You know I know nothing about hearing aids and the hearing industry, right?”
The response he received?
“Perfect!”
That moment marked the beginning of a career that would grow into something far more meaningful than he initially imagined.
“I wasn’t necessarily seeking this path,” he reflects. “But if it ends up being where I finish my working life, then I guess that is my destiny.”
What makes Carl’s journey especially powerful is what came before it. After the 2008–2009 recession, he faced nearly two years of unemployment, exhausting savings and taking on debt to support his family.
That experience reshaped everything.
It gave him a deep appreciation for stability, opportunity, and the ability to provide — not just financially but emotionally — for the people who matter most to him.
A Family-First Foundation

For Carl family isn’t just part of life, it’s the lens through which he views everything. He says Audigy has played a meaningful role in making that possible. Early in his tenure, Carl made a simple request: time off during the holidays to be with his family. It may have seemed small, but for him it was everything.
“I asked for two weeks off during my kids’ winter break, and without hesitation, it was approved.”
That tradition has continued for 15 years. It’s become a cornerstone of family memories, including a trip to Disneyland during Christmas and New Year’s, his wife’s very first visit.
Moments like that are what Carl carries with him, not just as a father and husband but as a leader.
“Audigy has helped me learn; to help lead, to grow personally and financially; helped me eliminate most of my debt, provide for my children; and helped me slowly rebuild my current and future life.”
That sense of gratitude translates directly into how he supports others. He understands the weight people carry — because he’s carried it himself.
A Leadership Style Rooted in Care

Carl’s colleagues describe him as someone who brings humanity to everything he touches.
One teammate shares:
“Carl’s work at Audigy is a true reflection of the ability to create, streamline, and maintain processes that drive both our organization and our members forward. Carl has always cared deeply about the success of our membership.”
That care shows up in how he approaches every challenge:
“He consistently asks, ‘How will this help our members succeed?’ and then builds the structure to make it happen.”
Carl has played a key role in shaping strategic initiatives, including refining Audigy’s strategic planning process and developing tools that simplify complex systems.
“Carl thrives on simplifying the complex. His talent for turning confusion into order, while never losing sight of the member experience, makes him the ultimate solution provider.”
For Carl, clearly it’s not just about structure — it’s about spirit.
“Carl is someone with a rare gift: the ability to take the most complex challenges and craft brilliant tools. Yet, just when everything feels perfectly organized, his playful spirit shines through. With equal parts genius and humor, Carl makes work not only more manageable but more fun.”
That balance of precision and playfulness is a direct reflection of his values at home: work hard, support others, and don’t forget to enjoy the journey.
A Day in the Life

Carl’s days are dynamic, but the heartbeat is consistent: connection.
Whether he’s advising a hospital system, collaborating with internal teams, or following up on member needs, his focus is always on impact.
It’s not about checking boxes, it’s about making a difference.
And just like in a family, that means showing up consistently, listening actively, and stepping in when it matters most.
What Makes Audigy Different

Carl has worked in large organizations before, but for him Audigy stands apart.
“Prior to Audigy, it was challenging to make much of an impact. The name of the game was just to make money.”
At Audigy the mission is different.
“I love that at Audigy we truly have a mission that we stand behind. If we’re successful, it means that small businesses are thriving and individuals are achieving their own goals for their business, themselves, and their families.”
That alignment between work and purpose is what keeps him here.
“I also love the culture. I try to make it fun at work and have some laughter. If we don’t have fun and enjoy what we do, then why do it?”
He’s also quick to point out the people: “I don’t know how Audigy finds such great people…. It doesn’t feel cutthroat, we really want to elevate each other and do our best for the membership.”
Life Outside the Office

Outside of work, Carl’s priorities are simple and deeply rooted in family. He enjoys camping, traveling, golfing, and spending time outdoors during the day. Evenings often wind down with movies or shows. It’s that balance of activity and rest that mirrors his approach to life.
And while he describes himself as an “open book,” one influence stands above the rest:
“My dad always had the most positive, optimistic view of life. ‘Never done it before but I know I will be good at it!’”
That mindset — optimism, courage, and belief in possibility — has clearly shaped Carl’s journey.
A True Partner to Members

Carl Cook’s story isn’t just about career growth, it’s about building a life that aligns with what matters most.
He’s a leader who understands that behind every business is a family. Behind every challenge is a person. Behind every success is a support system that made it possible.
At Audigy he’s found a place where those values aren’t just respected, they’re lived.
And in return, he brings those same values to every member he supports.
For Carl, success isn’t just about outcomes. It’s about people, purpose, and the ability to show up fully, both at work and at home.
