Leadership Spotlight: Kelsey Rutis

Kelsey Rutis doesn’t carry a wand or tuck a pair of wings under her blazer, but the magic she brings to Audigy is unmistakable. As Vice President of Marketing, Kelsey leads with vision, empathy, and just the right touch of pixie dust, creating seamless, strategic experiences that inspire members and empower her team.

Much like the magic behind the scenes at certain family-favorite destinations — where every detail is intentional and no guest need goes unnoticed — Kelsey is fueled by that same spirit of thoughtful precision. Whether she’s guiding cross-functional innovation or solving a mid-campaign challenge, she approaches her work like a world-class experience designer: calm, detail-obsessed, and wholly focused on putting smiles on the faces of those she serves.

The Leader Behind the Magic

Magic Icon

Like the best storytellers, Kelsey’s always thinking about the audience and the experience. The result? Marketing that doesn’t just perform — it delights.

Kelsey began her journey with Audigy in 2014 as a Marketing Manager, working closely with Enterprise Builder members on the East Coast. Over the next decade, she became a go-to partner in their growth stories, helping practices connect with more patients and teams achieve their goals with creativity and clarity.

“Kelsey inspires a culture of excellence and empathy, and she has this ability to expertly navigate project logistics — without ever losing sight of our end goal or the end user,” shares Matt Dyrland-Marquis, Audigy’s Director of Brand and Creative. He adds, “She offers a steadfast commitment to outstanding results, creating an environment where we can consistently deliver our best work, while uplifting both our members and our teammates.”

Now, as VP of Marketing, Kelsey leads our in-house marketing agency, a dream team of graphic designers, copywriters, digital strategists, media buyers, and more. All of these professionals are hyper-focused on the audiology and ENT space. Her team works behind the curtain to ensure that member practices shine in the spotlight.

Ask around and you’ll consistently hear that what truly sets Kelsey apart is her leadership style. “We’re here to help more patients find our members’ practices,” Kelsey says. “Every optimization, every new campaign, every piece of strategy — it’s all in service of that mission.”

“Kelsey leads with trust and a collaborative spirit, giving you the space to make your own decisions while offering thoughtful guidance when needed,” notes Abby Binshaieg, Product Marketing Manager at Audigy. Abby added, “She brings her authentic self to every interaction and remains approachable, creating a space where honest conversations, whether in a team check-in or a casual chat, make you feel genuinely heard and supported.”

Executive Project Manager Taylor Robinson shares, “Kelsey is someone who always has an open door and an open heart. Whether it’s for work or something personal, she’s always willing to listen, give advice, and help you become the best version of yourself!”

A Day in the Life

No two days are ever the same for Kelsey. One moment she’s reviewing KPIs at a global level, and the next she’s hopping on a call with a member or brainstorming with her team about the next big campaign.

Her role, officially, is to set vision and lead strategy. However, in practice, she’s a coach, a cheerleader, and an architect of what’s next — what’s next for Audigy, its members, and the industry at large.

“I try to stay really close to the teams and our members,” she says. “It’s important to me to understand what’s happening on the ground, in real time. That’s how we keep our services valuable, relevant, and results-driven.” Whether it’s a one-on-one coaching session, reviewing flow data, or collaborating across departments to fine-tune conversion strategies, Kelsey shows up with curiosity and intention, always focused on making things better.

Supporting Audigy’s Members

Holding Heart Icon

Kelsey’s impact on members isn’t just measurable, it’s downright magical. In her first 10 years at Audigy, she developed deep, personal relationships with the clinics she supported. “I had the privilege of witnessing their most remarkable moments and some of their most difficult challenges,” she shares.

That connection hasn’t faded. Today she continues to communicate directly with members through texts, calls, and on-site visits. She’s not looking just to report back but to listen. “We can’t be effective in marketing without our direct member relationships,” she explains. “It can’t be one-sided. The best results happen when we partner deeply and build together.”

Her No. 1 focus? Helping more patients find the care they need. That means coordinating marketing strategy with operational insight, supporting conversion efforts, and staying ahead of trends that could impact the way patients engage with hearing care.

Much like orchestrating a parade, it’s all about aligning moving parts, music, and magic in just the right way to ensure the experience lands with impact.

Supporting the Team

Ask anyone on the marketing team what it’s like to work with Kelsey and you’ll hear a similar refrain: She leads with transparency, insight, and heart.

“Kelsey approaches challenges with curiosity and intention,” says Rob Kennedy, Director of Marketing Operations. “I’ve always admired how she leads with transparency and sharp insight, and how her guidance sets a tone of focus and excellence for our department. Her leadership doesn’t just guide us, it elevates us.”

Kelsey is a strong believer in personal, professional, and financial (PPF) goals. She talks about them in meetings, checks in regularly, and celebrates wins both big and small.

“I ask our managers to share their teams’ PPFs so we can support each other,” she says. “Whether it’s health goals, family time, or financial milestones — knowing what drives people helps us stay connected to our purpose.”

She also knows from personal experience how impactful that culture can be. “Talking about PPFs with your manager and team helps create excitement and accountability,” she says. “I’ve achieved more goals in my time at Audigy than in the 10 years prior because I wasn’t doing it alone.”

What She Loves About Audigy

For Kelsey, Audigy is more than just a workplace; it’s a place where transformation happens. The relationships she’s built with team members and members alike have shaped not just her career but her life.

“If you had told me I’d form lifelong friendships with both teammates and members when I started, I wouldn’t have believed you,” she says. “But I have. I can’t imagine being anywhere else.”

Audigy’s culture of innovation and growth has supported Kelsey in building a career she’s deeply proud of and a life she truly loves. From home ownership to family vacations, to investing in her health and future, she credits Audigy’s focus on holistic success for helping her thrive.

Life Outside the Office

Family Icon

When she’s not reviewing flow metrics or championing strategy sessions, Kelsey is soaking up time with her husband, Daniel; their 7-year-old son, John; and their beloved chi-weenie, Willy. The Rutis family loves traveling, game nights, swimming, and movie marathons. If an activity has the capacity to bring her family closer together, that’s what you’ll find them doing. Kelsey also works out with her family, proving that goals and togetherness can go hand in hand.

Before finding her way to marketing, Kelsey started her career in social work, including work on a crisis hotline. “That experience taught me so much about empathy, listening, and being present during hard moments,” she says.

It’s no surprise those traits still define how she leads today — with empathy, clarity, and care.

Giving Back to the Community

Kelsey shares, “In the past, I worked for causes supporting people leaving abusive situations, as well as supporting educational access for children and teens,” so causes that support survivors of domestic violence and educational access remain close to Kelsey’s heart.

With a background in nonprofit fundraising and event planning, she continues to give back through donations and volunteer time, honoring the mission that first inspired her to serve others.

Looking Ahead

As the marketing landscape evolves, Kelsey is focused on keeping Audigy at the cutting edge. Her goals include being relentless in helping more patients find better hearing and more members realize their full potential.

Her leadership is about more than results. It’s about relationships. It’s about curiosity, connection, and creating the kind of experience that leaves people saying, “That was unforgettable.”

And that’s what makes Kelsey’s leadership so powerful. It’s not loud. It’s not flashy. It’s quietly magical — the kind of leadership that turns everyday work into something extraordinary.
